Brooks has been hand making bicycle saddles in England for over one hundred years. Their iconic B-17 blends the best of both worlds with its sleek timeless good looks; yet a saddle capable of handling the Tour de France. The longer ridden the more comfortable it becomes as it is made to conform to the individual rider over time. If you intend to ride your Emory C-4 any extended distance this upgrade is a must.
Because of the addition of Chromium and Molybdenum the steel tubing which now is also DOM (drawn over mandrel) is much more corrosion resistant and much stronger: now around 125 to 150 PSI. So what this means is there can be less tubing wall thickness and still get the necessary strength into the frame so the mild steel frame is .0625 wall or 16 gauge thick and the Cro-Moly used is now .035 thick so half the weight provides you with a strong lighter frame than mild steel. Must be painted.
