The vaunted Emory “Mojave” C4 painted mild steel frame is your best bet if your budget just can’t absorb the luxury and corrosion resistance of our Emory C4 Stainless Steel frame and fork. If you don’t live or go near salt water you may not elect to use the option or pay the higher premium or maybe you just want the unique beauty of a painted frame.*
The Mojave includes every bearing part that moves in the heart of the Emory C4 mild steel frame; means it never takes a back seat to quality; as the exact same bearings are used on all C4 series bikes: Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, or Cro-Moly. The maintenance free aspect remains the same and all bikes share many of the same other “Cmith” quality components (all American made). Further, the mild steel wall thickness is 50,000 PSI 16 gauge, far thicker than any other comparable high carbon steel frame; the frame itself is “shot peened”for stress relief which earns the bike its coveted ten year guarantee against defects in workmanship.
Next, you may decide that you need the added strength of a Cro – Moly Frame and fork at 125,000 PSI and the accompanying light weight. Then, the highly sought after Emory “Kalahari” is for you. The collectors dream, an instant heirloom, like all Emory bikes over the years but worthy of praise for the combination of components not normally used on our other bikes, like the famous rear facing dropouts.**
*Standard colors no extra charge. Special colors carry a $ 175.00 additional charge and any powder coating option please add $ 200.00.
** For an additional up charge you can order any Emory setup with a Gates Carbon Fiber belt and breakaway rear end.
